The 54m SY Ravenger has been awarded ‘Best Refit’ at the World Superyacht Awards, presented by Boat International.

First launched as Pink Gin VI, when the yacht was sold in 2023 her new owner sought to upgrade and refit the iconic sailing superyacht, changing the interior to be more in line with personal tastes. To do so, he turned to the team who devised her original design and knew the yacht better than anyone else – Design Unlimited.

The judges commented on the extensive work done to transform Ravenger with one judge saying, “It’s much more than a cosmetic refit.” The world’s largest full carbon sloop has become, in essence, a new boat, with her capabilities optimised from a pure cruiser to an able racer-cruiser.

While the GA was maintained inside, the interior decor has had a complete overhaul with a minimalist and serene Scandinavian-style aesthetic. Oak timbers, natural stones and supple leathers were all chosen for their timeless appeal. The split-level saloon was revised to replace a piano with a breakfast bar.
