Seawolf

The 58.8m Seawolf, a 1950’s ocean-going tug, underwent a two-year refit at Pendennis Shipyard, integrating modern technology and sustainable solutions while respecting its heritage. Design Unlimited and Ngila Boyd collaborated on the interior and exterior design to create a beautiful, classic and timeless look.

The brief aimed to create a layout for comfortable global cruising and exploration, with spaces for sharing sights and cosy relaxation. The design features and painted timber panelling, elegant materials, bespoke furniture, and lighting to enhance ambiance.

Her refit includes a new owner’s suite, enhanced flybridge dining area, upgraded crew acommodation, and a refreshed exterior, all while  maintaining the tug’s distinctive 1950s character.

The owners deck now has been reconfigured to include a private suite, pantry, and sky lounge, while the flybridge now offers a spectacular dining experience. New crew areas, including a captain’s cabin, and updated wheelhouse further improve the functionality onboard.

The client played a fundamental role in the styling and design of the boat, ensuring that every detail reflected their vision and preferences. This transformational refit ensures the longevity of this famous ocean-going tug, allowing it to continue its legacy for years to come

The project was undertaken with project management by Van Ineveld & Co.
